Indeed, it did. It only took the company a couple of years to invest in a new modern chicken processing plant, which contributed to its market growth. The processing plant was recently extended and renovated to the highest modern standards.
Valle del Miele Limited boasts of being the first company to be approved by the EU in Malta in December 2004. Valle del Miele is the only company that traces and controls its final product from the very initial stages of the process. Hence, its sister company, Top Layer Company Limited hatches the eggs and sells the chicks to specially chosen farms, which are continually monitored and inspected by the veterinary services and Valle del Miele’s management. Once, the broilers have grown, the farmers sell them to Valle del Miele.
When the processing reaches its final stage, the product is thoroughly examined and issued with a certificate, confirming that it has passed the bacterial test, by one of Malta’s leading laboratories. This then leads to the daily delivery of first class fresh chicken in fully refrigerated vans all over the island. Valle del Miele’s customers include leading supermarkets, butcher shops, catering establishments and a very large number of domestic clients.
Very recently, Valle del Miele decided to expand its business and has delved into the importation of the famous English ‘Pukka Pies’. Indeed it is the sole importer and distributor of Pukka Pies Ltd in Malta. At this point it is felt fundamental to stress that this is a separate line of business and has nothing to do with the processing of fresh chicken products.
Pukka pies products are tasty and are made with the finest ingredients under in stringently hygienic conditions by dedicated people. Their premium quality products include a wide range of pies, to mention a few: all steak pies, steak & kidney pies, beef & onion pies cheese, potato and onion pies. Other products include traditional style cornish pies, sausage rolls and pork sausages.
As a concluding remark, Valle del Miele endeavours to maintain its high standards and possibly improve upon them so as to keep its pride on the tastiness, goodness and freshness of its products. It will always follow its policy: “Clients come first!”
