The therapy unit is designed to be worn over your shoulder like a handbag, briefcase or a purse, and even with the battery, it is still very lightweight! The Inogen One G3 POC does not have an internal battery but runs off of an external battery cartridge which is easily inserted and disconnected with simple push button operation. Swapping out batteries is quick and simple. We offer two different size batteries for the G3; a Single 8-cell battery which is lighter and a double 16-cell battery which offers more battery life but is slightly heavier in weight. You can easily use the unit on a plane however it is recommended that you check with the airline with regards to their policies on the use of Oxygen Concentrators prior to travelling. The batteries can easily be charged in  a car when connected to the cigarette lighter.

Can I use the G3 while resting or sleeping? 

The G3 oxygen concentrator offers ‘Intelligent Delivery Technology.’ This smart technology is intuitive and flexible to your changing environments. As your breathing rate slows down, the G3’s Intelligent Delivery Technology will increase the size of the oxygen bolus dose. During periods of sleep, the unit has a more sensitive breath detection trigger and this is vital in order to detect a shallower breath. This allows most oxygen users to sleep with the Inogen One G3 with no problems whatsoever.
